ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Micanite V cones represent a unique and highly specialized product in the realm of electrical insulation. Crafted by hand from hot moulding micanite sheets made from carefully selected splitting mica, shaped in metal dyes, hot hydraulically pressed, precisely engineered – V cones serve as indispensable component in commutator insulation of traction machines. They have excellent thermal and mechanical strengths. V cones are rigid and can withstand high mechanical forces and combine effect of stress during normal and abnormal operating conditions.
Application
Mica V cones are commonly used as commutator insulation in traction motors.
Micanite V Cones Available With Hatim Dielectrics
V cones and shells of common traction motors are available at very short notices as these dyes are available. Dyes can be specially tailored against drawings or specific customer requirements.
Shelf Life
Mica V cone exhibit a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture when stored at a temperature 25°C and 50% relative humidity.
