ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Mica tape, a specialized composite material, has garnered significant attention in various industries due to its exceptional fire-resistant properties and electrical insulation capabilities. This tape is constructed by sandwiching thin mica paper layers between layers of film, fabrics bonded with specialized adhesives, creating a flexible and high-performance tape. Mica tape plays a pivotal role in applications where fire protection, electrical safety, and thermal stability are paramount.
USES
The unique properties of mica, including its fire resistance, dielectric strength, thermal stability, and low thermal conductivity, make it an ideal choice for insulation and fire protection. The resulting tape is flexible, lightweight, and robust. These combination of properties makes it a versatile material with a wide range of applications:
Electric Motors, Transformers & Equipments: Mica tape is used as insulation in electrical equipment such as transformers, and generators and high-tension motors. It provides electrical insulation, prevents short circuits, and ensures the safety and reliability of these devices.
Fire Survival Cables: Due to its unique properties that act as a reliable barrier to stop flame and heat, it is ideally suited for use in fire survival cable, that functions even while the cable is on fire.
Thermal Insulation in Furnaces: In situations requiring heat management, mica tape acts as an effective thermal barrier. It is used in industrial ovens, furnaces, and high-temperature equipment to prevent heat transfer and protect surrounding components.
