HARD MICA
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Mica, a result of harnessing the exceptional insulating properties of mica mineral, play a pivotal role in modern engineering by providing reliable thermal and electrical insulation.
These – in form of cylindrical structures, sheets, washers & discs formed through the layering and bonding of mica paper, either by silicone or epoxy resin find extensive use across industries where heat dissipation, electrical safety, and durability are essential. Mica’s natural lamellar structure imparts these products with remarkable dielectric strength, thermal stability, chemical inertness, and resistance to flames and high temperatures.
USES
These products find a wide array of applications across industries due to their unique combination of properties in:
Electrical Equipment: Transformers, circuit breakers and motors. They prevent electric arcing & short circuits. Epoxy based sheets have excellent punch ability and are used as washers in capacitors and separators in commutators.
Thermal Insulation: Industrial Furnaces, heating elements and high temperature environments. Foundry Industry – Their ability to withstand intense heat of molten metals is vital for maintaining mould and refractory linings.
Home Appliances: Minimal smoke emission in high temperature makes them ideal use as base / support plates in toasters, electrical iron, microwave ovens, hairdryer and other domestic appliances.
